CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. Jordanna Clarfield-Henry
Dr. Jordanna Clarfield-Henry, or Dr. J as her patients call her, is a 2005 graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She’s been in active practice ever since graduating with clinical honors.
I’ve always wanted to be a doctor. I have this passion for helping people with my hands. I want everyone I touch to get the best possible care. That way they can live life to the fullest.”
An Early Introduction to Chiropractic
Dr. Jordanna was born just around the corner from her practice and grew up here in mid-Toronto. She was introduced to chiropractic when she was 11 years old.
“My mum noticed that my hips were uneven. Maybe because my clothes didn’t fit quite right,” remembers Dr. J. “I was taken to my grandmother’s chiropractor who diagnosed me with scoliosis. I received chiropractic care all through my teenage years.”
That’s probably how she initially became interested in how the body works, moves and functions. Which was temporarily set aside as she explored the arts. Her focus on aesthetics can be seen in countless details throughout the practice. The calming effect is felt by everyone.
“Before university, I was encouraged to check out various alternative healthcare practitioners,” says Dr. J. “I noticed that chiropractors seemed to be the happiest. That convinced me to actively pursue chiropractic.”
Outside the Practice
When not in the practice, Dr. Jordanna can be found keeping up with her husband and two boys. They enjoy bike riding, hockey, downhill skiing and in the summer, horseback riding. And she is still involved in the arts.
“I love amateur adult theater. I volunteer at Unsung Heroes Productions every year. We put on a play or a musical and sing and dance our way to raising money for various charities.”
